How has your upbringing or cultural heritage shaped the themes and techniques you explore in your art today?

I’ve always been drawn to the friction between worlds, pairing rigid digital code with the fluidity of nature, or soft botanical forms against cold, geometric grids. For a long time, I viewed these as conflicts, but I’ve come to realize they are a reflection of my own heritage.

Being a product of multiple cultures means living in the 'in-between.' My art is an attempt to meld these seemingly polar opposites into a unified worldview. Just as I am a synthesis of different backgrounds, my work seeks to prove that disparate elements don't just coexist, they can create an entirely new reality and new identity.

Can you pinpoint a single moment in your life when you realized art was not just a passion but your purpose? 

For a long time, combining nature and technology was just an aesthetic I loved. But the turning point came when I was commissioned to create artwork for ocean preservation. The realization hit me at that moment. I realised that my visuals could do more than just look beautiful; They could be a voice for the planet.

My purpose is to redefine our relationship with the machine. We are living in a time where we must learn to co-work, co-create, and co-exist. My work is a call for harmony between the digital grid and the natural world, proving that technology can and should be a partner in preserving the life that sustains us.

How does your art engage with or comment on pressing contemporary issues—social, political, or environmental? 

In a world that feels increasingly divided between the natural and the digital, my visuals serve as a bridge. The most pressing issue I address is the perceived conflict between technology and the environment.

Through my work, I comment on the necessity of co-existence. I use 'digital grids' to frame 'organic blooms' as a metaphor for our current era: we cannot escape the digital age, but we can choose to use it to co-create a better future. Whether I’m advocating for ocean protection or highlighting the resilience of nature, my goal is to show that we must preserve our planet while advancing our technology.

I know it may seem paradoxical, but I want my digital work to act as a catalyst. By capturing the vibrant beauty of nature and delivering it to your screen, I hope to spark a memory of the real world, inspiring you to eventually put down your device and step outside. I believe we all need that physical connection to nature to remain fully human.

If you could communicate just one core message through your entire body of work, what would it be? 

If I could communicate just one message, it’s that we must move past the idea of 'Technology vs. Nature' and embrace 'Technology AND Nature.'

I believe it’s a bit of a myth to say we can find a perfect, effortless balance. Progress always involves trade-offs. However, we are now in an era where we can no longer afford to let these worlds collide. We must instead use our technological advancements to actively preserve the natural world. My work is a reminder that the digital tools we build should not be the reason for nature's decline, but the very instruments we use to protect our flora and fauna. Co-existence isn't a passive dream; it’s an active, tech-driven commitment to the planet.

Can you share a moment when someone’s unexpected interpretation of your art gave you a new perspective? 

My creative process is driven by a sharp, internal intuition, a raw instinct for composition, tension, and the melding of worlds. While I am the architect of the emotion behind the work, I’ve realized that the viewer is the witness of its impact.

I know exactly what needs to exist on the canvas to satisfy my vision, but I often discover the full weight of my work through the lens of the audience. It is a powerful, magical realization to hear an unexpected interpretation that translates my private intuition into a collective experience. The first step is always the hardest, but the most important lesson I’ve learned is to simply keep creating. By creating and practing every day, I’ve learned that the act of doing is what eventually clears the path toward a breakthrough.

I’ve learned to trust my intuition, that quiet, intuitive voice that knows a composition is right before my mind can explain why.
