International Mute Photo Festival – "Nature ate the pixels"
Organized by Photonisos Arts & Culture NPO, the festival invites photographers and visual artists worldwide to submit their work for its exhibition in July 2027 at the historic Old Customs Warehouses in Karlovassi, Samos.
The Concept: Confronted with visual and existential alienation in a digitally mediated world, the festival invites a silent dialogue between Humanity and Nature. The exclusive capturing medium is the children’s thermal print camera, turning an accessible toy into a powerful tool for artistic creation. The low-resolution black-and-white thermal print strips away superfluous detail, embracing chance, imperfection, and authenticity.
