Empowering professionals working with vulnerable youth with mental health conditions in Greece, Italy, Spain, Cyprus, and Romania by providing them with enhanced skills in digital art therapy. Our initiative offers continuous support to their beneficiaries, even during lockdowns and quarantine situations. The project also seeks to promote the use of creativity and art approaches in addressing mental wellbeing among young people through a comprehensive guide and raise awareness about the impact of COVID-19 on youth with mental health conditions through an awareness-raising toolkit.

Empowering Professionals, Enriching Lives

Guide for CSOs and relevant professionals (i. e. youth workers, psychologists, social workers and practitioners) to implement art therapy sessions for youth with psychological disorders online.

The guide is field-tested and evaluated by the users. The Guide is roadmaps and good practices to utilize digital art therapy to ensure mental wellbeing of youth. The Guide enables the target groups to offer digital art therapy sessions to their beneficiaries.

Capacity Building program for youth workers, psychologists, social workers and practitioners.

Aim of the program is to foster target groups’ ability to enhance youth mental wellbeing and to empower youth to deal with the challenges imposed by the pandemic.

Awareness Raising Toolkit for CSOs on the impact of COVID-19 to youth with developing or existing mental health conditions

The toolkit enables the beneficiaries to raise public awareness, to lead and contribute to the development of youth policies and strategies to help youth with psychological disorders to address hidden pressures and stressors through art making and exploration, showing the potential of art as a healing strategy.

Estuar (RO) was set up in 1993 and provides social services within the mental health field throught its 5 day centers in Bucharest, Cluj, Ploiesti and Giurgiu and 3 supported accommodation places in Bucharest. It also has a home counseling service in Bucharest. Its mission is to offer social options and alternatives to adults with mental health problems in order to include them in the community. Estuar offers psychological, social and psychyatrical counselling, vocational counseling, training for users and profesionals, consultancy, social economy activities etc. It proves on going services for more than 600 users/ year and on spot services for more than 2000 people/ year. It works national and also international organizations. In 2019 the foundation implemented major projects funded from ESF, Erasmus and Bucharest Municipality. It is a Mental Health Europe member.

We offer professional services to meet the their needs including: accommodation, training, employment, personal assistance, leisure and free time, mutual support, research, psychology and psychosocial rehabilitation. We have centers in 6 provinces of Castilla y León (Valladolid, Zamora, Salamanca, Burgos, Palencia and Ávila) and Madrid, in addition to working in a network with entities throughout Europe through the development of transnational projects.

Family and Childcare Centre – KMOP (GR) is a leading Greek NGO with more than 40 years of experience in supporting children, youth, families and vulnerable groups. Our team, consisting of 110 professionals in 7 countries, has successfully delivered more than 200 national and EU projects (Erasmus+, Justice, REC, AMIF, EuropeAid, H2020) the last decade (including Strategic Partnerships projects). Alongside with direct provision of social and mental health services, our expertise pertains to design and implement impactful programmes in the areas of Youth, non-formal Education, Human Rights and Health Promotion.
