Artit is launching a call for senior artists and cultural practitioners whose work addresses the climate crisis.
This open call is part of an upcoming digital publication titled Art and Society: Senior Artists on the Frontlines of Climate Action, created in collaboration with Seniors Climate Action.

The open-access digital publication will feature artists over the age of 60 whose practices engage with themes of climate change, sustainability, ecological grief, environmental justice, and intergenerational activism. It aims to highlight how senior artists are shaping cultural narratives around climate action through visual and performative work, writing, installation, digital media, and more.

In addition to artists, we welcome contributions from the broader seniors and climate action community — including researchers, activists, organisers, and academics exploring the intersections of aging, climate, and the arts.

The selected artists will be featured in the digital publication Art and Society: Senior Artists on the Frontlines of Climate Action. Their work will be showcased across Artit and Seniors Climate Action platforms and accompanied by a personal narrative or reflection on their creative process. Participants will gain international visibility as part of a broader network of artists and cultural practitioners engaged in climate action.

✧ Sign Up and Create Your Profile
Register on the ARTIT platform and set up your artist portfolio. Include your name, social media profiles, and a concise artist bio. This helps introduce you to our global audience and provides insight into your artistic journey.

✧ Upload Your Artworks
Add your artworks to your portfolio, including clear descriptions for each piece. Be sure to specify the title, medium, and dimensions, and share what each artwork represents to you. We encourage you to showcase additional works to give our jury a fuller understanding of your artistic vision and style.

✧ Submit Your Work to the Call
Select the pieces that best reflect your artistic identity and align with the theme of the call. Ensure your submission captures your personal connection to the subject and resonates with the spirit of the call.

All submissions will be reviewed by the editorial team at Artit in collaboration with Seniors Climate Action. Evaluation will be based on artistic relevance, quality, and conceptual alignment with the publication’s focus. A diverse range of practices, backgrounds, and geographic locations will be considered.
