All visual artists over the age of 18 from all artistic disciplines, regardless of medium or style, are invited to apply for this international open call. Images must be original artwork created by the artist and not copies of previously existing works. Each artist or collective can only apply once; subsequent applications will not be considered.
✧ Participation is free; only the selected artists will be charged a fee to partially cover the awards listed below. Selected artists are free to accept or refuse the fee and consequently the participation.
✧ The artwork will be judged based on the following criteria: originality, quality, inventiveness, theme interpretation, overall design, creative ability displayed, and media selection. The decision is determined by Florence Contemporary Gallery's internal curatorial staff with the assistance of outside specialists, and it is final and unquestionable.
✧ Based on the quality of each applicant's individual submission as well as the quality of their overall artistic practice, a shortlist of the best artworks will be created.
