Exhibition Opportunity at T.A.F Athens

We are excited to announce Cream Athens’ latest open call for artists to submit work for a unique exhibition opportunity at T.A.F./The Art Foundation. The exhibition will coincide with the grand opening of the T.A.F. Shop, offering artists a dual opportunity to showcase and sell their work in the heart of Athens.

Cream is ideally looking to receive artworks that have multiples (2+ works under the same theme or style), such as ceramics, prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, textiles and other art forms that can be both exhibited at the T.A.F. Gallery and sold in the T.A.F. Shop. Their preference for multiples ensures that while one piece is featured in the exhibition, additional/similar pieces can be offered for sale in the shop. 

This opportunity allows your artwork to gain maximum exposure and reach a wider audience in the heart of Athens, attracting art enthusiasts, collectors, and tourists alike.

T.A.F./The Art Foundation is a contemporary art space located in central Athens, a vibrant cultural hotspot attracting art lovers, collectors, and tourists. Its mission is to support and promote artistic innovation and cultural exchange through exhibitions, events, and collaborations. 

Launching on the same day as the exhibition opening, T.A.F. Shop will feature a curated selection of art pieces including prints, sculptures, ceramics, scarves, and other art multiples. The shop aims to support artists by providing a space to sell their work to a broad and diverse audience, offering excellent visibility in a prime location.

To apply for this Cream Athens opportunity to exhibit your work at T.A.F., follow these simple steps:

✧ Sign Up and Create an Artit Portfolio: Register on our platform and create your artist portfolio. Provide essential details such as your name, contact information, social media profiles, a website link - if available, and a brief artist biography. This allows us and the Cream Athens team to gain insight into your background and artistic journey.

✧ Submit Your Artwork: To apply, submit artworks that have multiples (2+ works under the same theme or style). All two-dimensional and three-dimensional work is accepted -  such as ceramics, prints, drawings, paintings, sculptures, textiles etc. There is no limitation on how many projects or how many images per project you can submit. For each piece, please offer a thoughtful and detailed description. This information provides context and insight into your artistic process. More specifically, you’ll need to include each piece’s title, creation date, dimensions (in cm), medium used and price.

✧ Mindful Selection: When choosing which artworks to submit, select pieces that prioritise the quality and impact of your work, and demonstrate your skill, creativity, and ability to engage and inspire viewers. Focus on your best works that you believe would make you stand out. 

✧ Expand Your Portfolio: Upload additional artwork to your portfolio, if you wish to give the Artit audience a better understanding of your overall style, values, preferred thematic interests, etc. This is your chance to showcase different facets of your artistic expression and have all your work compiled in one place for everyone to see. These can include pieces that align with the theme.  

✧ Confirm Your Exhibition Participation: If you are selected by the Cream team for this opportunity, you’ll be notified via email. A small contribution fee of £30 (VAT included) will be asked as a final step of the application process. The respective funds will be used to foster the exhibition’s scope further within the creative industry. Please note that the fee is per artist and not per artwork. No additional fees or charges will fall to the artists after selection. All exhibition production costs are covered by Cream Athens. Shipment of works is the responsibility of the artist.

Cream Athens’ esteemed jury committee will be reviewing entries and selecting the winning artists for this amazing opportunity to exhibit their artwork at The Art Foundation in Athens city centre. 

Cream Athens does not take any commission from the sales during the exhibition and the shop. Earnings from all artwork sales will go 100% towards the artists. The duration of the works included in the shop will extend beyond the 1-month exhibition period, as we aim for a long-term collaboration between T.A.F. Shop and the selected artists.

The theme and style are open, however, they’d like to see works that complement each other and belong to the same project, so keep this in mind when choosing your pieces.
